What You Are Buying

Designing, previewing and editing cards in the app is free and unlimited. A one-off payment turns a design into a real card: a signed pass for Apple Wallet, printable artwork, and a permanent address at brtl.one that you can change afterwards.

There are two purchases and neither of them renews. A card for a person may be changed ten times a month and carries the basic fields plus eight more. A card for a venue has neither limit. Prices and what each one includes are shown in the app before you pay, and payment is taken by Apple, not by us.

Your Card, Your Address

  • A published card keeps the same address for as long as it exists. Editing it changes what everyone holding it sees.
  • You can take a card down at any time from the app. Anyone holding the link will find nothing there.
  • An address is never reused. Once a card is taken down its address is retired, so somebody scanning an old printed card can never land on somebody else’s details.

What Is On The Page

What a published card contains is entirely yours: you typed it and you chose to publish it. Do not publish other people’s details without their agreement, and do not publish anything unlawful. We can take down a card reported for either.

A card is a public page at a hard-to-guess address. It is not a secret, and it is not protected by a password.

Passes In Wallet

A pass added to Wallet updates itself when you change the card. Whether that happens promptly depends on Apple Wallet and the device it is on, which we do not control.

Refunds

There is nothing to cancel: a card is bought once and does not renew. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us.

The Honest Caveat

Brutal is provided as it is, without warranty. We do our best to keep published cards reachable and cannot promise it. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.
